Luke signs

Luke just may have made some signs - we're pretty sure he was trying to sign "more" and he reacted in the happiest way when we seemed to understand what he wanted.

He's learning so much every day, it's no wonder that he has no desire to sleep or nap.

Theo encounters Santa

Theo and I were at the mall today and there was a Santa Claus you
could take pictures with (for a price, of course). Theo's jaw dropped
2 feet when he saw Santa - then he got all shy and hugged my leg. The
Santa waved, and theo waved back with a shy "hi".

I asked theo if he wanted to meet Santa, but the response was a strong
No. We passed the Santa a few times but Theo's courage did not get any

Later, after Santa had gone on break/returned to the North Pole, Theo
wondered aloud whether it was the real Santa or a guy who was just
dressed up like him. He settled on the idea that it was the real
Santa. Every year, that's going to be a tougher and tougher sell.

Luke is crawling

Here is a photo of Luke crawling for the first time, an army crawl to
get a Superman mask that he wanted.

I think our lives just changed a little bit...

Theo Crawling at 8 months

Luke's not quite crawling yet - he's just at the frustrated part of the process. All he can manage to do is rotate in a circle, a la Homer Simpson.

Theo was army-crawling by 7 months - here's a flashback clip of him in March 2005:

Saturday Brunch

Yesterday we had brunch at Karen and Josh's house, along with Janna
and Dana and Genevieve. Here is a great photo of Theo and Connor:

Check out the web site for the transition:

I still get a little startled when I see the news and re-realize that the election is over and the good guys won. For some reason it's still not sinking in...

The campaign also posted this Flickr set of photos from behind the scenes on Election Night.

President Obama!!

It's over!!!!
200 EVs projected so far. Add in the sure states of California, Hawaii, and Washington state and we have 270+. Right now, it's looking like it could be a landslide.

Just Voted!

I just went and cast my vote for Obama. The election officials in my neighborhood had it running extremely smoothly. I was able to walk in and out with no line at all. Danielle went this morning and had little trouble as well.

Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, my father-in-law took this amazing photo:

Election Day... so close...

I think that when this election is finally over, my productivity is going to shoot up. Between the RSS feeds of and, a political stat junkie like me has WAY too much information to digest.

Make sure you go out tomorrow and vote and make history!
